Sometimes they are a solid single color, while others may have multiple colors. This particular tourmaline is copper bearing, which is an element that give is that blueish color and transparency.

PLEASE NOTE: While this copper bearing gemstones bears all the signs of being a genuine Paraiba tourmaline, without further testing and disregard for the parcel paper stating it was Paraiba tourmaline, we feel it can not be listed as such. The variety name paraíba is derived from the locality in Brazil where it was first mined. Its geographical origin has not been determined and therefore could be from Brazil, Mozambique, Nigeria or another locality. This particular gem is a copper-bearing natural tourmaline, source unknown.
