Item Description
Featured is a genuine mosaic opal. A mosaic opal consists of tightly fitted, irregular pieces of opal, carefully fitted to create a brilliant mosaic. They are very beautiful and interesting to look at. Mosaics, made from specially selected shards of opal, which can be "doublets" (opal backed with black onyx) or "triplets" (opal backed with black onyx, then capped with a clear quartz top).

To put together a mosaic opal requires an artist to have a good eye for art and color. It takes a lot more work to produce stones that are even more intriguing than single-slice opals.

This particular mosaic is a doublet, with full color.
