Item Description
Featured are genuine mosaic opals. A mosaic opal consists of tightly fitted, irregular pieces of natural opal, carefully fitted to create a brilliant mosaic pattern. They are very beautiful and interesting to look at. Mosaics, made from specially selected shards of opal, can be created as "doublets" (opal backed with black onyx) or "triplets" (opal backed with black onyx, then capped with a clear quartz top).

To put together a mosaic opal requires an artist to have a good eye for art and color. It takes a lot more work to produce stones that are even more intriguing than single-slice opals.

These particular mosaic opals are doublets, with full color.
