Featured is a genuine Ethiopian Opal. Ethiopian Opal appears as a translucent clear gem. Ethiopian Opal is unlike any other opal. They are almost clear (or slight orange) when made into cabochons and are renowned for their incredible play of color, including yellows, oranges, blues and reds, all inside a near clear gemstone. The color fire in an Ethiopian Opal is best brought out, when held against a darker background. It is expected to increase in value as supply becomes scarce. This particular gemstone is transparent and has green, red, yellow, blue and orange color play.
