GEM TYPE : Genuine Apophylite Stilbite on Chalcedony WEIGHT: Aprox. 314 Carats MEASURES: Aprx. 3" x 1" Inches CUT: Rough Specimen CLARITY: Transparent/Translucent/Opaque TREATMENT: None (Natural) # OF GEMS PER PARCEL: 1 ESTIMATED RETAIL VALUE: $60 ITEM DESCRIPTION Featured is a genuine rough specimen Apophylite Stilbite on Chalcedony. A very unique combination of three different gem minerals growing together. The Apophylite (clear crystal gem) is recognized by its "quarts like" points, but in more cubic form, where typically the corners of the cubes are flattened. It is a member of the zeolite gem family. The Stilbite, (pinkish-rose color gem), is commonly found in formation with Apophylite, as an additional zeolite family member. In this specimen, both gems are growing on a host gem material called Chalcedony, which can be found in many colors. This particular specimen is elongated with many clear and translucent Apophylite crystals, with just one or perhaps two pinkish Stilbites. Both grow on the Chalcedony host rock, giving it a base color of blue/grey. Pictured is the actual gem specimen being offered. PHOTOS ENLARGED TO SHOW DETAIL
