Featured are is a genuine amethyst. Amethyst is quartz mineral. It can be found in several places on the earth and can be light to dark in color. Most amethyst is translucent. This amethyst is a rough specimen crystal cluster. Very purple at the top, bi-color clear quartz on the bottom. There are also some very unique dark purple "specks" in some of the crystals as natural inclusions (perhaps the start of what would have become phantom crystal.
