Featured is a genuine natural ruby. Ruby is a corundum mineral. Ruby can be found in very limited places on the earth and can be light red to dark red in color. Most common inexpensive ruby is very opaque, while the most sought after material is near translucent. This particular gemstone is a deep cherry red and is translucent with slight natural ruby inclusions. The center of this gem has a nice warm fire to it. Pictured is the actual gemstone being offered.
