Apatite is a very attractive mineral, but transparent gemstone-quality apatite is extremely rare and it remains virtually unknown to most, and is seldom found in jewelry stores. However, because apatite occurs in such a wide rainbow variety of colors, it is a favorite among gemstone collectors. These particular gemstones have an electric neon blue color.
