Featured is a genuine Rhodochrosite cabochon. Rhodochrosite is a gorgeous, deep raspberry-pink or rose-red crystal, usually displaying a "bacon-like" ribbon pattern on the surface of the gem. It is found in a small number of locations worldwide where other manganese minerals are usually present and once is a while is found to be of gem quality. This particular gemstone has a very distinctive "bacon-like" pattern of cream white, light-pink and dark.
