Rock strata containing opals run through the Mexican highlands, with their many extinct volcanoes. Mexican Opals are formed in white to soft-tone brown "potch" and are known for their beautiful orange crystals. Mexican Fire Opals can also come in many shades of warm colors like, soft-clear, orange, reddish-brown, yellow and red-cherry. This particular gemstone has a light yellow-orange body with red, blue and green play of color.
